Dr. Ron Bochner graduated The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in 1985, and entered residency at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, Department of Ob/Gyn. He served in the public health service for two years after residency, then took a teaching position at the Robert Wood Johnson School of Medicine in New Brunswick, NJ.  He is currently in the private practice of Ob/Gyn, but maintains a clinical faculty appointment at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In addition to GynoCart™, he is in the process of developing several other useful devices for the profession.

Dr. Bochner's Inspiration for Creating GynoCart

"I created GynoCart so that physicians could perform an optimal gynecologic exam on any hospitalized patient. After years of performing Gyn consults on hospitalized patients, I became frustrated by the lack of adequate lighting and the discomfort associated with these exams. As Chairman of the Ob/Gyn Performance Improvement Committee for our university hospital, I was also dismayed at the amount of time our emergency room patients had to wait for a gynecological exam. The GynoCart can convert any hospital bed or emergency room stretcher into a gyn exam table. Patients don't have to be moved into an exam room, doctors won't hurt their backs and waiting time in Emergency Rooms will be reduced. We will reduce our costs, optimize our exams and our patient satisfaction surveys will improve."
